NOAA Live!

Event Date:

5/5/2021

Description:

Come along as we explore the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (WBNERR) on Cape Cod, MA. Walk (virtually) with us into the shallow bay to visit experiment sites, explore the salt marsh, observe osprey and bay creatures, and wade into water sampling to collect data. Take an exciting field trip to discover and enjoy different parts of the Reserve located in the land of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. All this and more happens on this NOAA reserve study site, one of 29 in the US. We study coastal ecosystems, how humans impact them, and how we can all work to preserve these special places for all. Aimed at grades 2-8, but all ages will enjoy. (Recorded on May 5, 2021) Tonna-Marie Rogers of NOAA's Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in Falmouth, MA **American Sign Language was provided live via a video remote interpreter during the webinar. #NOAALive4Kids #SeaGrantSTEM © Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution
